Making Real Change
Driving meaningful change in fashion requires collaboration, transparency, and shared accountability. That’s why GUESS partners with leading global organizations to promote responsible business practices, ethical supply chains, and climate leadership. Partnerships and Collaboration
Acting with Purpose: Key Achievements
Smarter Materials, Better Impact
At GUESS, over two thirds of the materials we use come from renewable sources, and 25% of our global apparel materials portfolio is environmentally preferred.
Through our GUESS ECO and Consciously Constructed collections, we continue to prioritize responsible design and sourcing choices. We focus on environmentally preferred materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester and responsibly sourced cellulosic fibers, actively working with our supply chain partners to support this transition.
Guided by our ACTION GUESS strategy and supported by our Eco Materials and Product Guidelines, we are taking meaningful steps to reduce our footprint throughout the entire value chain.
Gender Pay Parity
GUESS firmly believes that all individuals deserve equitable compensation for their contributions, regardless of gender or any other factor. Pay equity is essential not only as a matter of fairness but also because it fosters a more engaged, motivated, and productive workforce.
We regularly review and monitor pay practices across all the countries where we operate, at both corporate and retail levels, to help close systemic gaps, promote diversity, and build trust across our organization.
We are proud to have maintained global gender pay parity since FY2022, an important milestone that reflects our dedication to fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all roles and teams worldwide.
Protecting Supply Chain Rights
The GUESS Social Compliance Program is built on three strategic pillars: rigorous factory approvals, ongoing training and education, and continuous monitoring and remediation. These pillars guide our efforts to ensure safe, fair, and ethical working conditions across our supply chain.
We conduct rigorous assessments before partnering with new factories, using either trusted third-party social audit frameworks or our own internal GUESS standards. Each facility is reviewed regularly, on average, every 12 months, to monitor compliance with our Code of Conduct. Through this process, we drive improvements, supporting long-term positive change for workers and communities.
100% of new suppliers were assessed using social criteria in both FY2024 and FY2025.
Our Climate Goals in Motion
-
At GUESS, we recognize the urgency of addressing climate change and are actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) across our operations and supply chain.
Since FY2019, we have cut our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by over 70%, surpassing our original 2030 goal. This progress is driven by improved energy efficiency and the increased use of renewable energy through Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), now covering more than 40% of our total energy use.
Guided by a new emissions reduction roadmap that further strengthens our commitment to sustainability, we remain focused on accelerating our climate actions ensuring we not only meet but exceed our climate goals.
-
As a company that outsources the manufacturing of our products, Scope 3 emissions—those generated across our supply chain—account for the majority of our total carbon footprint. Addressing these emissions is one of the most pressing and complex challenges within our climate strategy, and it remains a central focus of our efforts to drive meaningful environmental impact.
The increase in Scope 3 (Category 1 – Purchased Goods and Services) emissions in FY2025 is mainly due to higher production volumes compared to FY2024. Since Scope 3 emissions are reported in absolute terms, the greater number of units ordered and produced led to a direct rise in emissions.
Key Projects
-
Workplace Improvements: Beyond Audits
GUESS partnered with Beyond Audits to launch three region-specific programs impacting workers in the supply chain to improve their health, well-being, and workplace conditions in collaboration with key suppliers located in India, Pakistan, and Myanmar.
“Connect” in India builds trust between management and workers. “Better Finance” in Pakistan boosts financial literacy. “Better Health” in Myanmar promotes hygiene and gender-specific health.
Over 7,000 workers have participated to date, with each program designed to create lasting impact within the participating facilities.
-
RESOURCED Program
Our RESOURCED program makes it easy for customers to recycle unwanted apparel and footwear from any brand at all North America and select European GUESS stores. In partnership with Homeboy Threads, collected items are sorted, reused, or recycled, helping divert textile waste from landfills.
In 2024, we expanded these efforts with GUESS Again, a digital takeback platform powered by SuperCircle. U.S. customers can easily request a shipping label online, send in pre-loved garments, and earn GUESS credits for future purchases.
RESOURCED is growing, giving customers more ways to recycle and rethink consumption.
-
Fostering Social Inclusion: Progetto Quid
As part of its ESG strategy, GUESS expanded its partnership with Progetto QUID, a social enterprise in Italy that empowers marginalized individuals, especially women, through employment in fashion using surplus fabrics. The collaboration reduces textile waste while promoting inclusion.
Together, we launched a limited-edition capsule collection made in Italy, featuring a daisy motif inspired by GUESS’s iconic campaigns. The collection blends heritage with purpose.
-
Reforestation Projects
At GUESS, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration are central to our sustainability efforts. Through partnerships with reforestation organizations PrintReleaf and One Tree Planted, we help protect habitats, enhance climate resilience, and promote sustainable land use. These initiatives reflect our commitment to global conservation and responsible business practices. To date, GUESS has planted over 34,000 trees worldwide together with these partners.
-
Creating Positive Impact in Communities
At GUESS, giving back is core to our identity. Since 1994, the GUESS Foundation has championed social progress, health, and education through partnerships with organizations such as Peace Over Violence (Denim Day), Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. John’s Health Center, and the World Heart Federation, with a strong focus on women’s health and anti-violence initiatives.
Complementing the foundation is GUESS Cares, an employee driven program focused on volunteering, fundraising, and donations. It empowers our teams to make a direct impact in their communities and reinforces our commitment to social responsibility.

In May 2024, Guess Europe partnered with Welfood, a premium well-being platform, to support employee health through a confidential and free program. Each employee receives ten personalized online sessions with certified professionals including psychologists, nutritionists, sports coaches, parenting counselors, and experts in harassment and gender-based violence.
